Bishop Titus B. Deas, Jr. was saved at the early age of 16 years old. He is the son of Ms. JoAnn Deas and the late Senior Bishop Titus B. Deas, Sr. who was also his pastor and mentor. His call into the ministry at the age of 21 was not unfathomable considering he is a 3rd and 4th generation preacher. In 1994, he was ordained an Elder and became the Senior Pastor of Deliverance Temple Ministries formally known as Donald’s Temple First Born Church. He has taken this ministry from meager beginnings to a flourishing congregation, which is now one church in two locations, by teaching biblical principles and applications.

The primary earmark of his ministry is to see the people of God saved, healed, delivered, set free and walking in their spiritual gifts and callings given through the Holy Ghost. His dynamic preaching and practical teaching style has impacted the lives of many, challenging them to change.

In 2009, Bishop Deas was elected and consecrated to the office of bishop, as he made history by becoming the youngest bishop elected in the 100 plus years of the organization’s existence. In 2012, he was appointed as the first Bishop of Protocol for the denomination. He led the church into a new phase of liturgical worship as a result of his newfound knowledge acquired from the Joint College of African American Pentecostal Bishops, where he has been a member in good standing since the Spring of 2011.

In July of 2018, Bishop Titus B. Deas, Jr. was elected to the office of Senior Bishop of the First Born Church of the Living God, Inc.; once again making him the youngest to hold this office which is the highest ranking in the aforementioned organization. He has been called and mandated to restore the church back to its former glory through stabilization by teaching the Word of God, mobilization through reaching the lost by evangelistic outreach and realization through seeing the manifestation of the power of God by a fervent commitment to prayer and fasting.

He earned the Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Philosophy from the Florida A&M University, and was awarded the Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from Smith Chapel Bible University. He is also the co-author of the book, “A Pastor for Jesus Christ: Principles and Practices”.

Bishop Deas has served on several community-based boards, which includes Carter Ministries, Inc., as Vice President and President of the Disciples Group, Inc. In addition, he also serves on the board of Save One More Now, an organization designed to assist mothers in choosing life for their unborn child. Bishop Deas’ greatest passion is for our youth, which has led to the formation of Bridging the Gap Outreach, Inc. This is a non-profit organization that addresses the academic and social needs of youth in the Gadsden County community. He has also created the Dreamers’ Scholarship program which provides financial support to young adults in pursuit of a higher education. Bishop Deas successfully sponsors an annual golf tournament fundraiser to provide support for the Dreamers’ Scholarship.

Bishop Deas is married to the lovely Sakina Deas and they have one delightful daughter, Diamond Ajoi Deas. Bishop Deas has proven to be a servant-leader who has a heart for his family and people of God.
